Councillor Erfan sacked

Erfan Salim, councillor of ward no 30 under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), has temporarily been sacked.

The Local Government Division on Tuesday (October 27) issued a notification in this regard.

According to the notification, he has been temporarily suspended from his post as a councillor under local government (city corporation) law after being convicted with criminal charges by a mobile court for possessing and using illegal walkie-talkie and filing a case against him for allegedly assaulting a naval officer and his wife.
