Police seek 28-day remand for Efran Selim & his bodyguard

Police have sought to take Efran Selim and his bodyguard Jahidul Mollah on a 28-day remand for interrogation in firearms and drug cases.

Chawkbazar police station’s Investigation Officer Inspector (operations) Muhammad Delwar Hossain sought the remand order on Thursday (October 29).

The hearing will be held at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Didar Hossain on November 2 in firearms case while another hearing will be held at the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Habibur Rahman Chowdhury in drug case.

On October 25, Erfan Selim’s vehicle hit the motorcycle of Lieutenant Wasif Ahmad in capital’s Dhanmondi area. Meanwhile, Erfan Selim and his assistances assaulted the navy officer Wasif Ahmed Khan.
