Young girl found hanging in capital

A young girl on Tuesday (November 24) morning found hanging in the capital’s Swamibag area. 

She was known as Tania Akter, 21, daughter of Ashraf Hossain hailed from Akhaura of Brahmanbaria. Her family resides at Swamibag of the capital. Tania was only child of the family.

Tania was found hanging with ceiling fan at her residence in the morning. She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in unconscious where duty doctors declared him dead.

Tania’s uncle Ivan said, “Tania talked with her lover Hridoy over mobile phone on Monday (November 23) night. Then she hanged herself with a saree with ceiling fan when all members went to bed. We could not immediately know why she hanged.”

Bachchu Mia, In-charge of DMCH Police camp said, “Tania’s body was kept in the morgue. Concerned police has already been informed over the matter.”
