‘Vaccine receivers to get telemedicine service’

Health Service Division Secretary Md Abdul Mannan has said that those who have received the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine have not yet experienced any physical problems. However, the government will provide telemedicine services to all those receiving the vaccine to provide immediate treatment in case of any reaction in the body after the vaccination.

He said this in a meeting on vaccines at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in the capital’s Tejgaon on Wednesday (January 20).

Asked whether there is any chance to apply fake vaccine in the country, the secretary said, “There is no opportunity to apply this vaccine without a registered institution through the strict rules of the country’s drug administration department. That is why the government has given the opportunity to register for the vaccine from a single government app called ‘Suraksha App’. As a result, there is no chance of applying a fake vaccine.”

When the vaccine arrives in the country, it will be sent to various hospitals through proper security and the government will keep a close watch on the distribution of the vaccine, said Zuena Aziz, the Chief Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
