Bus hits motorcycle on Hanif Flyover, leaving 2 killed

A bus on Saturday (January 23) afternoon hit a motorcycle on Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover at Joykali temple area, leaving two killed.

The deceased were known as Aktar Hossain, 37, and Mofizul Islam, 42.

Inspector Bachchu Mia, In-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police camp, confirmed the matter to risingbd.

He said, “Local police station has been informed over the incident.”

It was learned that a speedy bus of Jaintapur Paribahan hit motorcycle of Akter Hossain, leaving him skidded off and the bike struck Mafizul. They both sustained serious injuries. Later, they were taken to DMCH where duty doctors declared them dead.

Aktar Hossain works for a private company in Narayanganj while Mafizul was engaged in community policing for long days.

Aktar Hossain lives in Azimpur Staff Quarter with his family. His wife is senior staff nurse of DMCH.
