Amar Ekushey Book Fair starts from March 18

Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2021 will start from March 18.

Director General of Bangla Academy Habibullah Siraji confirmed the news to risingbd on Monday (January 25) afternoon.

Habibullah Siraji said, “This year’s book fair will start from March 18. But it is not finalized yet whether the fair will be one-month long or when it will be inaugurated. Details regarding the matter will be briefed later.”

An uncertainty over holding this year’s book fair was created due to coronavirus pandemic, resulting in the deferment of the fair. Later, three possible dates (February 20, March 17 and 28) for holding the fair were sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). The PMO today confirmed March 18 to start this year’s book fair.
