Banking hours extended by 30 minutes

Bangladesh Bank (BB) extended banking hour by a half hour to 3:00pm to facilitate transactions by diverse groups including the businesses.

The central bank issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (April 11).

According to the directions, customers will be able to conduct bank transactions between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm on May 12 and 13 as usual. However, Banks will remain open till 3:00pm.

Earlier, Bangladesh Bank said, banks will have to close their branches and head offices within 2:30pm after completing their relevant banking activities.
