Bangladesh reports 17 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hrs

Bangladesh reported 17 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, raising the toll to 12,458 across the country.

Besides, some 1, 497 new cases were detected over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 7,93,693 across the country so far.

A press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the development on Wednesday (May 26).

A total of 1,056 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 7,33,866, the release said.
