Consignment of 6 lakh vaccines arrives in Dhaka from China

The second consignment of 6 lakh vaccine shots as part of gift has arrived in Dhaka from China.

Assistant Director of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Md Nur Islam confirmed this to risingbd on Sunday (June 13) afternoon.

He said, “Two aircrafts of Bangladesh Air Force touched down Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital with 6 lakh Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine shots around 5:30 pm on Sunday. Later, the vaccines were taken to the base of Bangladesh Air Force in Kurmitola.”

The vaccines will be reserved there until handing over to Bangladesh government officially.

Earlier, the two C-130J aircrafts left China for Dhaka around 10:00 am.

On May 12, Bangladesh received a gift of 5 lakh Sinopharm doses from China.
