Probe report on Dhaka Bank vault case on Sep 20

A Dhaka court set September 20 for submitting the probe report in the case filed over Tk 37.7 million that went missing from the Dhaka Bank's vault.

Dhaka Metropolitan Court senior special Judge KM Imrul Kayesh passed the order on Sunday (June 20).

Earlier, ACC’s Assistant Director Md Atiqul filed the case against Dhaka Bank’s Bangshal Branch senior officer and Cash In-charge Rifatul Haque and Manager (operation) Emran Ahmed with Dhaka integrated district office-1.

According to the statement, around Tk3.77 crore went missing from the vault of the Dhaka Bank's Bangshal branch. Abu Bakar Siddique, the branch manager, interrogated the bank officials who were responsible for taking care of the vault.

At one stage of quizzing, both the detained officials confessed of stealing the money from the vault, said Mizanur Rahman.
