Rawhide-carrying vehicles allowed for movement during lockdown

The government has announced countrywide strict lockdown from 6am on July 23 to August 5 midnight. During the lockdown, rawhides of sacrificial animals can be transported, preserved and processed.
In the light of a decision taken by the Cabinet Division, a notification issued from the Ministry of Industries on Wednesday (July 21) morning, confirmed that vehicles carrying rawhides of sacrificial animals are allowed to move from one place to another.
“Rawhides of slaughtered sacrificial animals will have to preserve within four to five hours of slaughtering, adding adequate salt to the rawhides. Vehicles carrying rawhides can enter Dhaka after 2:00pm on July 23,” according to the notification.
As per the decision of the Cabinet Division, activities related to food production and factories involved in food processing are allowed during the 14-day lockdown, starting from July 23.
Apart from these, the industries related to the production of medicine, oxygen and the preventive products in Covid-19 treatment will be out of the purview of the lockdown.
