‘People over age of 18 can get vaccinated showing NID at union level’

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that people over the age of 18 can get vaccinated for coronavirus at union level just by showing national ID card.

However, people over the age of 50 will get priority in this case, he added.

The Minister said this after a high-level meeting over the coronavirus situation at the conference room of the Cabinet Division in the Secretariat on Tuesday (July 27) afternoon.

He said, “The ongoing lockdown will continue until August 5. No mills and factories will be reopened during the restrictions. Industrialists demanded for reopening mills and factories with maintaining health guidelines, but we could not accept their demand.”

He further said, “The infection could not be prevented by the lockdown. Everybody must have to use mask and maintain hygiene rules.”
