Covid-19 deaths cross 28,000

Bangladesh reported six more death from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, climbing the national toll to 28,001 across the country so far.

Besides, some 197 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 15,77,443 in the country.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the development on Sunday (December 5).

Alongside, as many as 226 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 15,42,278, the release said.
