Virtual courts from Wednesday

Judicial activities of the Appellate Division and High Court Division of the Supreme Court (SC) will run virtually from Wednesday (January 19) because of increasing coronavirus infection.

SC Registrar General Md Ali Akbar issued a public notice with the instruction of Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique on Tuesday (January 18).

Earlier in the morning, Chief Justice said, “13 justices of High Court (HC) division are infected with coronavirus. Alongside, many staff of SC contracted the virus. Besides, many judges of the lower court also got infected with Covid-19. In this situation, it will be so tough to conduct the courts.”
