Nipun files appeal against HC order

Actress Nipun has filed an appeal against a High Court order that stayed the decision to cancel the candidacy of actor Zayed Khan for the Bangladesh Film Artistes Association’s general secretary post.

The appeal was filed with the Appellate Division on Tuesday (February 8) morning, said Nipun's lawyer Barrister Mostafizur Rahman Khan.

A hearing on the appeal will be held in the relevant bench today, he added.

Earlier on Monday, the High Court stayed for a week the appellate board's decision that canceled the candidacy of Zayed Khan and declared Nipun as the newly-elected general secretary of the Film Artistes' Association.
