PM mourns death of journalist Abdul Gaffar Choudhury

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist, columnist, poet and writer Abdul Gaffar Choudhury.

Choudhury won hearts of Bangalees by writing the celebrated Ekushey song “Amar Bhaier Rokte Rangano Ekushey February”.

In a message of condolence on Thursday, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

He breathed his last at a London hospital this morning (Thursday morning).
