Faridpur-2 by-election on Nov 5

The by-election to Faridpur-2 constituency will be held on November 5.

The Election Commission announced the schedule after a meeting held at the EC headquarters in the capital’s Agargaon on Monday.

The constituency fell vacant following the death of deputy leader of the parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury.

It fell vacant on September 11 and the Election Commission has a constitutional obligation to arrange the by-election within 90 days.
