Navy’s institution takes charge of new mooring container terminal

Chattogram Drydock Limited, a company run by the Bangladesh Navy, has taken over management of the New Mooring Terminal (NCT) for the next six months.

Saif Powertech wrapped up its operations from NCT yesterday, Sunday (July 6).

Chattogram Port Authority Secretary (CPA) Omar Farooq said that the contract to operate the port's NCT with Saif Powertech ended on July 6. The contract was not renewed.

Following the issue, Saif Powertech Managing Director Tarafdar Md. Ruhul Amin said, “Today, on July 7, the responsibility of the New Mooring Container Terminal will be officially handed over to the Drydock Authority.”
