49th anniv of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh, Russia celebrated

Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Dhaka hosted a webinar marking the 49th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Russia on Monday, January 25, said a press release.

The meeting was attended by freedom fighters, cultural figures, young journalists, students of the Dhaka’ universities.

Director of the RCSC Maxim Dobrokhotov congratulated everyone on this significant date, dwelling on the importance of generations’ continuity in building bilateral cooperation.

He particularly emphasized on interaction in areas such as culture and education, which are the key to good relations between peoples.

The participants noted the enduring role of the Soviet Union in preparing a whole range of national cadres, stressing out that Russia keeps on nowadays providing assistance in the educational sphere.

Alumni of various Soviet/Russian universities hold high positions in public and private institutions, making a significant contribution to the development of their country.
