Former MP Pinu Khan passes away

Awami League’s former lawmaker from reserved women’s seat and Bangladesh Mohila Awami League’s former general secretary (GS) Pinu Khan passed away early Sunday (March 16).

She breathed her last at a private hospital in the capital around 1:00am.

She was 71. She left behind two sons, relatives and a host of well-wishers and admirers.

Pinu Khan will be laid to rest at Banani graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza after Zuhr prayers on Monday (March 18).

She engaged in politics in 2003 from her student life. She was elected joint general secretary of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League in 2003 and general secretary in 2009.
