73 arrested in anti-drug drives in Dhaka

Different police stations and intelligence department under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 73 people and seized drugs after conducting anti-drug drives in the capital.
Arrests were made and drugs were seized during the anti-drug drives conducted in different areas of the capital from 6 am on Monday (November 30) to 6 am on Tuesday (December 1), according to a DMP press release.
The seized drugs include 53,006 pieces of yaba, 9 grams of heroine, 8.49 kilograms of hemp, 50 bottles of Phensedyl, 56 bottles of foreign wine and 35 litters of alcohol.
45 cases have been filed against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act.
