Brazil won 2-1 over Colombia this Wednesday in a dramatic match of Copa America 2021 to keep at the top of Group B. Los Cafeteros went ahead in the first half and dominated the hosts. However, Firmino managed to score a goal at minute 78, after the ball hit the referee but VAR said everything was legal and then, on the aggregate time, Casemiro’s header gave them the victory.
Luis Fernando Díaz put his team up in the score ten minutes into the first half with an incredible scissors kick. Brazil went with everything for their goal but struggled to score until Firmino, taking advantage of the distraction after the ball hit the referee, levelled the score. Here, check out the highlights and goals from this match.
The hosts are showing, once again, that they almost don’t have any competition in South America. With great performances from Neymar Jr, Brazil has crushed Venezuela (3-0) and Peru (4-0). Now, Colombia is a stronger rival but can Reinaldo Rueda’s side damage them?
Despite losing against Peru, Colombia is still second in the group. Before, they got a 1-0 victory over Ecuador, then drew against Venezuela.
