Tigers beat Zimbabwe to clinch T20 series

A quick-fire innings from Shamim Hossain after Soumya Sarkar’s half-century took Bangladesh to a series clinching five-wicket win over Zimbabwe in the third and final Twenty20 at the Harare Sports Club Ground on Sunday (July 25).
Shamim (not out) hit 31 runs off 15 balls after Soumya struck 68 runs from 49 balls to take the Tigers to 194-5 in 19.2 overs, to complete Bangladesh’s highest run-chase against the hosts in T20s.
Earlier, Zimbabwe, thanks to brilliant innings of Wesley Madhevere and Regis Chakabva, set the challenging target for the Tigers. The hosts scored 193 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs.
Wesley Madhevere hit 54 runs off 36 balls with 6 fours. Regis Chakabva smashed an innings of 48 runs from 22 balls with 6 over boundaries.
