Tamim-Liton stand keeps Bangladesh going

Zimbabwe captain won the toss and opted to bowl first in the first match of three-match ODI series against visiting Bangladesh at Harare Sports Club.

Bangladesh: (14.1/50 ov) 68/0

Bangladesh are keen to maintain their supremacy against Zimbabwe despite suffering their first ever T20 International series loss to the same opponent last week.

ODI is a format, in which Bangladesh are a top team in the world at the moment. Since the 2019 World Cup, they played nine bilateral series and won seven. The two defeats came at hands of Sri Lanka in 2019 and New Zealand in 2021. After the defeat against New Zealand, they won five straight series, beating the likes of Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, South Africa and West Indies. So their ODI strength is understandable.

Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal (captain), Liton Das, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mehidy Hasan
Miraz, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat and Taijul Islam.

Zimbabwe: Ryan Burl, Regis Chakabva (wk), Tanaka Chivanga, Craig Ervine (capt), Luke Jongwe, Innocent Kaia, Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani,
Wellington Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, Richard Ngarava, Victor Nyauchi, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Sean Williams.
