Risingbd Desk: Bangladesh went down 5-0 against Australia in the Fifa World Cup Qualifier at the NIB Stadium at Perth, Australia on Thursday.
Mat Leckie opened the scoring inside six minutes, before Tom Rogic scored his maiden international goal two minutes later. The midfielder added another in the 29th minute before Nathan Burns netted a fourth in the 29th minute to put the Socceroos in cruise control at half-time. Midfielder Aaron Mooey netted the fifth in the 61st minute.
Chris Ikonomidis and Jackson Irvine saw their headers rebound off the side post in the 61st and 81st minutes.
Bangladesh meets Australia in the return match on November 17 at Dhaka.
Bangladesh now have 1 point from three matches with a 3-1 defeat to Kyrgyzstan and a 1-1 draw against Tajikistan earlier.
