Economic Correspondent: Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman on Sunday informed, a total of ninety percents of banks in Bangladesh are operating their banking activities through online banking services.
The governor made the disclosure while addressing a Laptop distribution function in the capital on the day.
"Bangladesh Bank itself an information-technology based bank and it is also continuing its efforts to make all banks in the country information-technology based," Dr Atiur Rahman also hoped.
"We have to make the students skilled and experienced in information and technology," he added.
He also believed, "Bangladesh will be a digital one soon."
State Minister for ICT Affairs, Zunaid Ahmed palak, MP and Sajeeb Wazed Joy, adviser to the Prime minister of ICT Affairs were also present, among others, in the function.
