Bank manager among 3 detained

Police detained three officials of Agrani Bank including a manager on charge of irregularities of Tk10 crore.

The detainees are Narun Bin Salam, manager of Kashinathpur branch of Agrani Bank (senior principal officer), cash officer Subrata Chakrabarty, and senior officer Abu Jafar.

Police said a 5-member audit team went to the branch from Rajshahi divisional office on Thursday. The team found irregularities of Tk10.13 crore during the audit. Later, the law enforcers arrested the three officials of the bank.

Confirming the matter, Santhia police station officer-in-charge Anwar Hossain said that the detainees will be produced before the court today.
