Cricketer Sharif to go on live from Risingbd FB page this evening

Country’s leading and popular online news portal risingbd.com is regularly arranging a Facebook live programme titled ‘Risingbd Special’ amid coronavirus outbreak.

As part of it, former cricketer of Bangladesh National team Mohammad Sharif will join the live programme this evening and share different stories of his career and personal life. He will also share the purpose of establishing 'Sharif Foundation'.

The cricketer will go on live from the Facebook page of risingbd.com at 7 pm on Saturday (June 27).

Born on December 12, 1985 in Narayanganj, Sharif started his career in cricket but announced his retirement from cricket in April 2020. He established 'Sharif Foundation' to stand beside the people who are passing their days with hardship amid coronavirus pandemic.

In international career, the right-hand pacer made his Test and ODI debut against Zimbabwe in April 2001. He played in ten Tests and nine ODIs for the Bangladeshi cricket team.

In domestic career, the 34-year-old cricketer played 132 First-class cricket, 119 List A cricket and 22 T20 matches.

Earlier, cricket coach Ashiqur Rahman Majumder and cricketer Khondaker Mosharraf Hossain Rubel joined the Facebook live programme titled ‘Risingbd Special’.
