Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Police and Australian Federal Police are set to combat jointly against terrorism, illegal drug, smuggling, cyber crime, piracy and human trafficking.
A press release, sent from the Bangladesh Police Headquarters, confirmed this on Friday.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the two authorities on Friday.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), A K M Shahidul Haque, is now taking part in the International Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Leaders Forum in Australia.
The press release also said that IGP A K M Shahidul Haque and the Australian Federal Police Commissioner Andrew Colvin signed the agreement on the day.
