Khaleda meets son after 11 months

Senior Correspondent: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia yesterday afternoon to perform Hajj at the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, today met her eldest son Tarique Rahman in Jeddah.

BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman and his family members also arrived at Jeddah from London by a flight of Emirates Airline to perform Hajj at the separate invitation of the Saudi King.

Tarique’s wife Zubaida Rahman, daughter Zaima Rahman and late Arafat Rahman Koko’s wife Sharmila Rahman also accompanied him there.

A flight of Saudia Airlines carrying the BNP chairperson arrived at the Jeddah Airport around 10:20am (BST) and was received by local BNP leaders there.

BNP sources said Khaleda and Tarique exchanged views with the leaders and activists of local unit of BNP at Jeddah Royal Palace.

Khaleda Zia met her son 11 months later. Earlier, they met on November last year.
