Suicide bombing kills 21 in Nigeria

International Desk: At least 21 people were killed and dozens more were injured on Friday in a suicide attack targeting a symbolic Shia Muslim march passing through a village in northern Nigeria`s Kano state, according to an organizer.
The bomber detonated his explosives after running into the crowd in the village of Dakasoye, south of Kano, said Muhammud Turi.
The march is an annual ritual observed by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, a major Muslim group based in northern Nigeria.
Northern Nigeria is largely Sunni-dominated but there is growing number of Shias, most of whom were converted from the Sunni branch.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack; the Islamist terror group Boko Haram has frequently conducted attacks throughout Kano state.
