‘Militancy will be uprooted from Bangladesh soon’

Staff Correspondent: Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan has said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has launched an anti-militancy drive and militancy will be uprooted from the country very soon.

The minister said this at a human chain formed by Bangladesh Awami Muktijoddha Projonmo League and Mohila Awami Ainjibi Parishad in front of the National Press Club on Saturday.


The national unity under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina has already been formed, only BNP and some other who patronize militancy did not include in the platform, he said.

Presided over by President of Bangladesh Awami Muktijoddha Projonmo League Assaduzzaman Durjoy , the programme was addressed, among others, by Ex-Home Minister Shamsul Alam Tuku and Awami League leaders MA Karim and Arun Sarkar.
