'Bangladesh ranked 6th in political empowerment of women'

Parliament Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh has been ranked sixth in the world in terms of political empowerment of women.
The premier made the opinion while replying to a question of MP Kamal Ahmed Mazumdar at 14th session of 10th parliament on Wednesday.
Sheikh Hasina said that the country's overall development is not possible without women's development. That’s why the father of the national Sheikh Mujibur Rahman took several steps for women's development.
Father of the nation firstly reserved 15 seats for women in the National Parliament, she added.
