Charge sheet against 11 Dhaka Zila Parishad officials

Staff Correspondent: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved a charge sheet against eleven people including six engineers and bank officials of Dhaka Zila Parishad in a case filed over embezzling around TK 27 lakh showing different fake projects.

The approval of the charge sheet was given from the ACC head office in Dhaka.

ACC Assistant Director Jahangir Alam, also the investigation officer of the case, will soon submit the charge sheet to the court.

A source at the ACC public relations office confirmed the news to risingbd.com on Wednesday.

The charge-sheeted accused are Md Zakir Hossain, owner of M/s Sikder Traders, Md Jahirul Islam, sacked senior executive officer of Social Islami Bank, accountant Md Golam Mostafa, Deputy Assistant Engineer Md Zakir Haidar, Md Asaduzzaman, ATM Mizanur Rahman, MA Faruk Laskar, Md Mofizur Rahamn, Md Nur Nabi Pathan, upper division assistant Md Riajat Ullah and lower division assistant Towhidul Islam Bhuiyan.

ACC Assistant Director Abubakar Siddique filed the embezzlement case with Tejgaon Police Station on October 12 in 2015.
