Citycell’s network frequency opens

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has again restored Citycell’s network frequency.

BTRC Senior Assistant Director Zakir Hossain Khan confirmed the matter.

Citycell, the first mobile phone operator of the country, has got back its frequency after the Supreme Court on Tuesday passed an order.

The Appellate Division in a fresh directive asked BTRC to restore Citycell’s frequency within 24 hours.  
 
A three-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha passed the order.
 
The order came in response to an application filed by the mobile operator.
 
Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission (BTRC) scrapped Citycell’s spectrum allotment because the operator had failed to clear the dues.
