Cop action on Siddiqur: Probe report submitted

Staff Correspondent: The probe body, formed to investigate the police action on the demonstrating national university students in Shahbagh, has submitted its report on Monday.

The report was submitted at the office of Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Asaduzzaman Mia.

Deputy Commissioner (media) of DMP Masudur Rahman told risingbd.com that DMP commissioner is out of the country now. That’s why details cannot be said right now over the probe report.

On July 20, Titumir College Siddiqur Rahman was allegedly hit by a tear gas canister fired by police at close range during a demonstration at Shahbagh.

Later, he was taken to Sankara Nethralaya Institute in India on July 27.
