Forex reserve hits new record of $36bn

World economics in a jeopardy due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. But, Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserve has hit a new height setting a record of over $36 billion amid the pandemic.
In an updated report of Bangladesh Bank confirmed the matter on Thursday.
The remittance sent by the expatriate Bangladeshis added to raise the foreign exchange reserve to $36.16 billion on July 2.
Earlier, the previous highest reserves recorded on June 23, was $35 billion. The previous highest remittance was $34 billion on June 3.
