Economic Correspondent: The leaders of Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BJS), a platform for gold traders and jewellery makers, have announced to increase the price of gold on the third day of the new fiscal year.
The BJS issued a press release in this regard on Wednesday afternoon.
The new price will come into effect from Thursday, said the press release.
Gold prices will be increased by Tk 2,041 per bhori, according to the new price.
As per the new rate, each bhori (11.664) of 22-carat gold will now cost Tk 52,196 while 21-carat gold will cost Tk 49,864 and 18-carat gold will cost Tk 44,848.
