Suspected robber killed in Feni ‘gunfight’

Feni Correspondent: A suspected robber was killed in a 'gunfight' with the elite force RAB in Feni Sadar upazila on Tuesday midnight.

The deceased was identified as Foysal (24).

Another suspected robber named Nur Hossain Selim (26) also received bullet injury in the gunfight.

The gunfight took place in a place between Lemuya and Lalpole of Dhaka-Chittagong highway. 

RAB also recovered two shutter guns, several rounds of bullets, five mobile sets, a tab and several native weapons from the spot.

RAB-7 Commander Shafaet Jamil Fahim said a gang of robbers were committing robbery with a micro-bus and on information a team of RAB conducted a drive there. Sensing the presence of RAB members, robbers opened fire, forcing the RAB men to back fire that triggered a gunfight.
