Top leader of Sarwar-Tamim group held

Staff Correspondent: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Monday detained ameer of Sharia Board of “Sarwar-Tamim group”, a new faction of the militant organisation “Neo JMB”, from the capital’s Demra area.

The detainee is Mamunur Rashid alias Shaykh Mamun.

RAB Legal and Media Wing's Senior Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

Acting on a tiff-off, a team of RAB conducted a drive in the Demra area and detained him, Mizanur Rahman said.

Details regarding the issue will be briefed at RAB Media center in Karwan Bazar this afternoon, he said.
