Bullet-hit body of drug trader found in Barguna

Barguna Correspondent: The bullet-hit body of a suspected drug peddler was found in Jakirtobok area of Kawrabunia union in Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sagir Khan, hailed from Kumrakhali of Badarkhali union.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Barguna Sadar Police Station Md Masuduzzaman said that noticing the body in the area, locals informed police station. Later, police recovered the bullet-hit body around 7:30am.

Meanwhile, a firearm and some drugs were recovered from the spot.

Barguna police super Bijay Basak said the drug trader Sogir was killed in a gunfight among themselves following internal conflict.

The body was kept at Barguna Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
