Crack found in rail track in Tangail

A crack was found in rail track at Mosinda area under Kalihati upazila in Tangail, causing suspended train communication of the country’s north and western regions with Dhaka for one and a half an hour (from 7:00 am to 8:30 am) on Sunday.

Tangail assistant station master Md Shahin Mia confirmed the matter. 

Mosinda railway gateman Rubel Rana said that he noticed the matter when came on duty at 6:00 am and informed the authorities.

Md Shahin Mia said, “A six-inch crack has been found in rail track at Mosinda area of Kalihati. Although the repair work of the damaged railway line is going on, the authorities have instructed to run the train at a maximum speed of 10 km per hour through that place.”
