Two cops suspended for punching colleague

Two policemen were suspended for indulging in a physical fight with a colleague in Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SNP).

The two cops are – Assistant Sub-Inspector Rubel Mia and Nayek Pranjit.

Sources said, the two policemen locked into a clash centering their standby duty at Sylhet Metropolitan Police Lines. At one stage, Nayek Pranjit hit Rubel with his firearms leaving him injured. Later, he was taken to Sylhet Divisional police hospital.

SMP's additional deputy commissioner (media) Sudip Das, said the two cops were suspended temporarily for breaching the code of conduct.
