Aslam`s remand hearing deferred

Staff Correspondent: Three separate courts of Dhaka have deferred hearing on 30-day remand for BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury in three cases including sedition one.

Law enforcers on Monday sought 30-day remand for interrogating BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury in three separate cases including a sedition one.

Judge Maruf Hossain of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court fixed May 31 for hearing in sedition case while Judge Golam Nabi and Mazharul Islam fixed June 6 for hearing in two sabotage cases filed with Motijheel and Lalbag Police Stations.

Law enforcers arrested BNP Joint Secretary General Aslam Chowdhury from the capital`s Khilkhet area on May 15.
