42nd BCS will be special for doctors’ appointment

The 42nd BCS examination will be held as special to appoint doctors.
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has taken the decision as per demand of Public Administration Ministry.
BPSC Chairman Dr Muhammed Sadique confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
He said, ‘I have already received a letter from the Ministry of Public Administration. We have taken this decision on the basis of that. A draft has been prepared by amending the existing rules. The members of the commission have approved it. It will be sent to the Ministry of Public Administration soon. If it is approved from there, the 42nd BCS examination will be held as for appointment of doctors.’
It was learnt that the government will recruit 2,000 more doctors on an emergency basis through a special BCS to fight against coronavirus (Covid-19) infections.
