Md Israfil Alam, an Awami League lawmaker from Naogaon-6 constituency, has passed away.
He breathed his last around 6.40am on Monday at Square Hospital in the city.
Israfil Alam’s elder daughter Israt Jahan confirmed the news.
Md Israfil Alam recovered from Coronavirus. He was admitted to Square Hospital on July 17 after his condition deteriorated.
On Friday, the lawmaker was put on a ventilator as breathing complexities worsened, she said.
