BCB calls up 27 cricketers for camp

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has called up 27 cricketers for national team camp. Their skill camp will start from Sunday (September 20).

Earlier, the cricketers will arrive Hotel Sonargaon in the morning. They will stay in isolation in the hotel for next 7 days. The camp will run till September 26.

According to BCB, the training and movement of cricketers will be regulated in the bio-bubble zone.

This is actually an initial squad of Bangladesh’s tour of Sri Lanka. When the tour of Sri Lanka is finalised, Bangladesh will fly for the island nation with this squad. The main squad will be announced at the end of two weeks of training there.

Of the 27 cricketers, 18 who live in Dhaka have already tested negative for coronavirus. Those came in from outside of Dhaka also tested on Saturday. Of them, those will be found negative will attend the camp.

There will be a six-day practice in the seven-day camp. The practice will be held every afternoon at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Cricketers and coaching staff will be tested twice more during the camp.

The skill camp squad: Mominul Haque, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sadman Islam, Liton Kumar Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mohammad Mithun, Soumya Sarkar, Taijul Islam, Al-Amin Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Imrul Kayes, Taskin Ahmed, Kazi Nurul Hassan Sohan, Shafiul Islam, Yeasir Ali Chowdhury, Nayeem Hassan, Abu Jayed Rahi, Ibadat Hossain, Syed Khaled Ahmed, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Masaddek Hossain Saikat, Hassan Mahmud, Saif Uddin and Saif Hassan.
