Do not want to play T20, Tamim to BCB Chief

Senior cricketer Tamim Iqbal has taken a decision not to play Twenty-20 format. He frankly has informed the matter to BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) Chief Nazmul Hassan Papon.

BCB President told this to media on Saturday (January 22) after end of BPL matches.

He said, “I had talks to Tamim over mobile phone and asked him to return to Twenty20. You are the best opener for us and you should return. But he disagreed.”

“Tamim said- please do not asked me like this. I cannot disobey you. But I do not want to play the shortest-form of the cricket any more. Then, I realized I should not ask him again,” Papon said.

BCB Chief said, “If someone willingly wants to go away from the version of the cricket. I believe I should not push him to return and It will not right for me.”
