14 shops gutted by fire in Khulna

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: At least 14 shops were gutted in a devastating fire in a furniture market in West Rupsha area of the district town early Friday.
Locals said the fire originated from a mosquito coil in a shop around 5:00am and spread out to the adjacent shops.
Later, on information, four fire units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 7:20pm.
Tutpara fire station senior officer Mamun said that the loss from the fire would worth Tk. 1.3 crore.
