6 fake DB police men held in city

Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive detained six fake police men of Detective Branch from Dakkhin khan area of capital on Friday.

The detainees are- Md Khairul Alam alias Robiul, 42; Md Pannu miah, 35; Saiful Islam Niloy, 25; Khairul Islam Monir, 32; Shamima Akhtar Trishna, 27 and Ummeh Tasnin Iva, 19.

The elite police unit`s media wing Assistant Director Maksudul Alam confirmed this to media on Friday noon.

RAB said, acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-1 conducted a drive at Faidabad at about 11:30 pm and arrested Robiul and Pannu Miah. Later, according to their information, the elite force members arrested other four people from in front of Uttara Girls High School near House Building of Uttara sector-6.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers recovered one pair of handcuff, three fake police ID cards, one camera, four obscene pictures, cash Tk 22,450 and nine mobile phones from their possessions.
